This is the most populated region of BC with stunning geography ranging from oceans to mountains, and includes temperate rainforests, alpine peaks, lakes, fjords, and fertile valley delta lands.

This region is home to Vancouver, BC’s largest city and Whistler, a world-renowned year-round resort. Both destinations hosted the world during the 2010 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games.

The Coast Salish, one of the largest First Nations in the province, inhabits the entire region. Amongst the Coast Salish are the Musqueam, Squamish, Tseil-Waututh, Lil’wat, Tsawwassen, Sto:lo, and other First Nations communities. Throughout the region you can share their culture through interpretive centers, hotels and lodges, performances, gift and art shops, guided interpretive tours on water and land, workshops, and festivals.

We invite you to discover this region which includes Vancouver, Whistler, the Sunshine Coast, Hope, Agassiz, and many other beautiful towns. Come and experience the hospitality and culture of the Coast Salish peoples.
