Takaya Tours

Takaya Tours is an eco-tourism venture owned by the Tsleil-Waututh First Nation and managed by Deep Cove Canoe and Kayak Centre. Guests are provided with a fascinating introduction to the Coast Salish culture through cultural experiences – by kayak or traditional style ocean-going canoe. Tours are designed for all ages and fitness levels. Participants enjoy a unique and relaxing paddling adventure while First Nation guides sing traditional songs, share stories passed down through generations, and tell the cultural history of the Burrard Inlet and Indian Arm. Also available is a guided nature walk that focuses on indigenous flora and fauna. The adventure tours depart from the Tsleil-Waututh traditional lands in Cates Park in North Vancouver. Takaya Tours can customize tours to meet your needs. Kayak rentals are available from our new Cates Paddling Centre in Cates Park, North Vancouver, and from our Belcarra Paddling Centre in Belcarra Regional Park, Port Moody. Takaya Tours is located 25 minutes from downtown Vancouver.
