2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games
Every four years the eyes of the world turn toward a contest of athletic excellence and a celebration of living culture, the Olympic Winter Games and Paralympic Winter Games. In 2010 the Games are coming to Vancouver & Whistler, and the eyes of the world will be upon us.
The Games provide Aboriginal tourism with a world-class showcase for Aboriginal arts and culture. More than two billion viewers will see our world heritage sites, the magnificent landscapes and seascapes of our traditional territories, our vibrant arts and culture -- our carvers and painters, our drummers and dancers, our storytellers and canoe-makers, our young people and our respected elders -- all the music, the art, the dance, the vital essence of who we are.
When the lights go up, the Aboriginal peoples of British Columbia will take centre stage!
