Enter the Museum of Northern B.C. and experience the magnificent architecture of a Northwest Coast Longhouse. View exhibits that portray Northwest Coast history and culture dating back to the end of the last ice age. Witness the legacy of oral history, archaeological discoveries, outstanding works of art and unique artifacts that depict the ancient and modern history of our spectacular region. The museum offers a full range of seasonal programming from May to September. Daily tours of the museum and performances at the Tsimshian Longhouse all bring the history of the Northwest Coast region alive. Another highlight of the museum is the Carving House. Tsimshian, Haida Nisga’a and GItksan carvers work here between the months of June and August.

The museum is located on the waterfront in downtown Prince Rupert at the foot of McBride Street (Highway 16).
