Grizzly Bear Journey (8 hours)

We journey along Orford River in Bute Inlet to view grizzly bears feasting on spawning salmon. Viewing is done from the comfort and safety of viewing platforms. The viewing site is on Aboriginal lands belonging to the Homalco First Nation and Aboriginal guides will be accompanying you. Along the way you will observe beautiful coastal scenery with its lush rainforests and swirling tidal waters. On this journey you may also observe killer whales, dolphins, porpoises, eagles, seals, sea lions and more. Tours can include a traditional native-style salmon barbecue at the We-Wai-Kai Village on Quadra Island for groups of 12 or larger for an additional cost of $30 per person.
