CrossRiver Wilderness Centre is a mountain retreat remotely located in the heart of the Canadian Rockies on the edge of Kootenay National Park in British Columbia, and yet it is accessible by road. They provide a modern and comfortable place to visit while showing a commitment to environmentally friendly and self sustainable practices by generating solar power as well as hydro power off a mountain stream, natural water pressure for cabin and lodge water requirements being developed via natural gravity, all heating being provided by wood fireplaces using only wind/dead fall trees just to mention a few. Each cabin and the main lodge are tastefully decorated with a wonderful cozy atmosphere, complete with a comfortable queen sized log bed with down comforter, a twin bed, and a sitting area with wood-burning fireplaces. Guests may also stay in a traditional teepee village for a truly unique experience. The pure simplicity of their facility is amazing, very satisfying and role models true stewardship of the land. All meals are served fresh, using primarily organic and natural products as well as some wild meats such as Buffalo, Elk and Salmon.

Rates are per person/per day; based on double occupancy 
Child age 12 & under: $ 40.00 per day

Reduced rates for teepee accommodation
