Quaaout Resort and Conference Centre

The Quaaout Resort & Conference Centre is the pride of the Little Shuswap Indian Band, and is nestled along the shores of Little Shuswap Lake, a 45-minute drive east of Kamloops. This full-service resort has 72 comfortably appointed rooms featuring lovely views of the Little Shuswap Lake, as well as traditional teepees, which are available during the summer months. Guests are treated to delicacies on the dinner menu which honour the Native traditions of the region such as Traditional Bird in Clay, Cedar Board Salmon Steak and Elk Striploin Steak. 

Age-old traditions are presented through vibrant displays of song and dance and unique cultural experiences are available such as traditional Earth Sweat Lodge ceremony with a Native Elder and gatherings in kekuli (traditional winter pit house). Other activities include trail rides, cycling, canoeing, mountain biking and self directed nature walks. Our new 18-hole championship golf course ‘Talking Rock’ will open in August of 2007.
