29th Annual Kamloopa Powwow August 1-3, 2008

Kamloopa Pow Wow is one of the largest celebrations of First Nations' culture and heritage in Western Canada! The Pow Wow is a spectacular expression of the Secwepemc heritage here in the Kamloops area and boasts a vibrant display of storytelling, song, and dance.

Kamloopa Pow Wow represents many years of stories and events from previous years all packed into 3 days alongside the South Thompson river in Kamloops. The Thompson River Valley was first inhabited by the Shuswap people.

Grand Entries: Friday at 7pm, Saturday at noon & 7pm, and Sunday at noon.

Admission: $10/day, $20/weekend pass. Free admission for elders, handicap, and children (age 6 and under). Dancers & Drummers will be charged $10 at the Gate ($5 reimbursement upon registration)

The Arbor is located at the Special Events Facility, along Yellowhead Hwy No.5. Camping is available.
