  Great Experiences Benefiting
Our Communities

Aboriginal-owned tourism businesses from across BC can benefit from participating in ATBC's comprehensive marketing program to increase their profile, gain new bookings and break into new markets.

Be a Tourism Trailblazer

Want to blaze your own trail in BC's growing Aboriginal tourism industry? Solid planning, the right training and hard work are the keys to long term success.

Aboriginal Tourism BC recently launched the first in a series of new tourism training and product development programs that will roll out across the province this fall.

A New Look for our 11th Anniversary

Welcome, honour and respect - communicated through the simple, universal gesture of outstretched hands.

This is the meaning behind Aboriginal Tourism BC's new visual identity, developed following extensive consumer and stakeholder research. The contemporary logo is punctuated with the compelling tagline: "Our story. Your experience."

Captivating imagery will complement the logo. Watch for the new look to roll-out this winter.

A Name Says it All

Aboriginal Tourism BC is spearheading an important new project to work with Aboriginal leaders, Elders and youth to identify and recommend significant historical, geographical and cultural sites throughout the province for reclaiming of traditional names.

Once the project is complete, ATBC will publish a new full-colour visitor map with Aboriginal-named routes and landmarks. The map will also highlight exciting Aboriginal tourism experiences available around each site and detail its history and stories.

Community Consultations
on Cultural Protocols

Province-wide consultations are underway with Aboriginal communities to gather input on cultural tourism protocols to guide the development and delivery of Aboriginal tourism initiatives.

These groundbreaking projects will create tools that Aboriginal communities can use in developing authentic tourism experiences and maximizing economic benefits while setting guidelines for sharing their culture.
