Hoop Dancer Brings Worlds Together

Coast Salish Territory - Vancouver Feb 25, 2010

The Vancouver Sun ran an article featuring the Hoop Dancing of Dallas Arcand.

From the article...

At the end of one of his dance performances, Dallas Arcand holds up two sets of intertwined hoops, and it appears that he has brought two worlds together.

Arcand has made a connection between the aboriginal and non-aboriginal worlds through his hoop dancing, beginning with the opening ceremony for the 2010 Winter Olympics and continuing at various venues hosted by the Aboriginal Tourism Association of B.C.
